Thoughts on the Omori Manga

I was kind of generous with it, but overall? Mixed feelings, leaning toward negative. This is just the first chapter tho so who knows?

The Art: eh?

The scary parts are drawn well and there are some panels I quite like (the 2 below for example), but otherwise it often looks a little awkward/uncanny??

A big thing is, I think Sunny shouldve been drawn less expressive. He often looks a bit too... happy? Like its fine to draw him horrified and such when he's Going Through It, but he's drawn with those little white pupils a lot at the beginning, which make him look a lot like his younger, more carefree self

I think for the most part, he should've just been drawn like this:

It captures his vibe of Tired/Out of it/Depressed, much better

The Manga's Approach to the Story: not good for people new to Omori (imo), but has potential for an interesting retelling for previous fans

It was quite strange to start with the Real World rather than Headspace, but it could turn out interesting. It will definitely miss the impact of the game's storytelling, but they may still be able to make an enjoyable enough story out of it, yknow?

Doing it this way allows them to emphasize different things than the game. Like the battle with Aubrey, for example. It was so good in game since the player was so used to casually slicing away enemies with the knife, and the Aubrey battle served as a shocking wake up call. You can't knife people in real life like that! But I think no matter what. this couldn't have hit as hard in the manga regardless of if they did headspace first.

But what they did do in the manga was better emphasize Sunny's actual action of slicing Aubrey! Like Basil and Kel are appropriately alarmed and horrified that Sunny has just pulled a knife from nowhere and (quite badly) sliced their old friend with it.

I do, however, think they made it look way too deliberate on Sunny's part.

Like in game, it was more a mistake, while in the manga they seem to be going for Sunny being Extremely Traumatized and just lashing out, but then they portray it like this??

Like, maybe if they had Aubrey actually go after him with her nail bat while she was saying those cruel things, him drawing the knife would have looked more instinctual and a mistake. Here it just looks like he's ready to stab her in cold blood :/

The ending is sort of interesting tho. It does a fine job of showing how headspace is a sort of coping mechanism before we even see it, by having Sunny retreat there after slicing Aubrey.

Overall, I think there is potential in doing Realworld first, Headspace second, but I think it does miss out on a ton of the game's original impact and storytelling

Finally, Aubrey (tm): hot take maybe, but I lowkey like how she was portrayed?

Like, dont get me wrong, she was quite violent and it hurt seeing her legit hit basil with a nail bat, but it sort of works? in my opinion at least.

Shes been hurting for so long and she directs that hurt towards her old friends, and combined with her more aggressive personality, it doesn't seem too wildly out of character i think.

Plus, itll add some good Angst when she gets her moment with the gang and realizes how she's been acting. Like, girl, you are gonna feel sooooo bad for how you treated Basil and what u said to Sunny (character development!)

And it really helps that when she falls to the ground after getting sliced, pictures of Mari fall out of her pocket. It helps signal to the reader that Aubrey isn't just some horrible cruel person, but that there's something more at play

And the way she's collapsed almost looks like she could've collapsed out of grief, or is bowing deeply, and implies she's really hurting. Somehow they did Sunny so dirty with him standing over her with the knife, yet did so well with this Aubrey panel.

I think I just like the portrayal of someone who is very flawed in their grief without being some Big Evil Bad Guy, yknow. Like no, this is a hurting teenager lashing out and making mistakes.

Hm, I'm not really sure, I think it's cause it can be taken in so many meanings, usually a desperate form a desire or a way to be as intimate and close to someone as humanly possible. It's usually in a horrific sense, personally I take inspiration from medias like The Summer Hikaru Died where a shape-shifting creature is alright with having a hand inside their chest for example

It's not cannibalism, but I think it still falls under the strange extreme of closeness

Another inspiration is this short comic in an omori au (red thread au I believe) that's surrounds Aubrey and Basil, who are romantically involved, (aubrey is a werewolf and basil plays the red riding hood; im pretty sure i hope im not wrong) talking about how much one loves the other

Uhhh... I'm not sure, I guess I just like the horror aspect and I can be detailed in that 'so desperate, so in love with you that it's selfish' theme

Random side thing I thought, it's kinda like an exaggerated version of cuteness aggression, definitely an extreme comparison tho. Like thinking a loved one is so perfect so precious that something about them should be ruined completely- definitely an unhealthy show of love but I like to explore that idea

Non-human characters is an easier way to use cannibalism as a metaphor for desire- uhhh, I might have missed some points but I'm rambling and I'm still in a relative's apartment so I'm trying to be discreet but hope this has some explanation I'm sorry (╥ - ╥)

so as someone who is only on chapter one of omori and is obsessed with it here are my thoughts as a new member of the fandom

bear in mind that i haven’t finished the game. i only just got to that one creepy forest place? like the one after the spiders? please don’t spoil!!

but spoilers for everything before that below

1) I HATE BASIL. he’s such a stupid little punk. “uwu im so smol and helpless and i always get bullied and i’m so sweet and innocent” I JUST KNOW THAT FUCKER IS HIDING SOMETHING. everytime i end back in that stupid white room it’s because HES DOING SOME SUSSY SHIT. i also just hate him and everything about him and i know for a damn fact that he’s hiding something horrible behind that sweet little smile and he thinks he’s tricking me but he’s NOT I KNOW HIS GAME.

anyway.

2) i literally cannot decide on a favorite character. i have a least favorite, that’s pretty obvious, but when it comes to a favorite im torn. i LOVE omori, aubrey, kel, and hero all the same! i love mari too but i’m a little salty against her because all her hints for the quests are severely unhelpful 😭 but i still love her tho. i just love the main four so so much and i physically cant choose who i like better. poor little aubrey seems so scared and alone when she has the pink hair and she’s so kind in the little space world thing. hero is a sweetheart and i can’t wait to meet him in the colorful world where i’m moving or whatever. and kel is literally so me 😂 it’s not even funny he just does whatever the fuck he wants and that deserves some respect on his name. and omori is a kickass main character who has a cool thing going for him. but these four characters are sooo well crafted and i love how they work together! it’s a great dynamic balance!

3) i’m either a really bad gamer or the game is super long. i finished the prologue in like seven hours. it took SO LONG. i’m not used to indie games taking that long to play considering that i got through all of undertale in like 10-12 hours my first time. it’s awesome! i love finding all the secrets and talking to all the npcs but DAMNNN.

4) this game has so. much. detail. it’s insane. like the sheer amount of mini games and tiny pockets of lore. it’s like higher than undertale level and i don’t mean to keep going back to undertale but i see a lot of similarities in the game style. i also totally got sucked into playing like 30 rounds of blackjack on omoris computer. it was cool af.

5) the fighting mechanics are super hard. maybe i just suck at strategy but i am so bad at the fights that i just run away whenever i have the opportunity 😭 it’s a problem. i also have no clue how the happy sad angry shit works, i just make omori sad so stab has an attack boost and make aubrey angry so headbutt has an attack boost but other than that i don’t really use it at all and i don’t understand it. maybe that’s why it took me literally 10 tries to get past space ex boyfriend? it’s really fun i just think it’s supposed to be easier than it is and i just missed a memo on strategy.

6) i really love the message so far. the way that mental health is portrayed as something that’s a never ending journey. omori doesn’t just breathe and then everything’s okay, the game highlights realistic coping strategies and makes things like depression, anxiety, and phobias to understandable for any audience through a very creative medium: an indie video game. it’s genius. and i just love how it’s been approached so far, it’s very inspiring!

7) i’m terrified that this fandom is gonna make me mad, i swear to god if i just walk in and see a bunch of basil stan’s i’m turning and walking back out 💀 i mean okay maybe i’ll like basil better later but chances for that seem very low right now. my sister told me that apparently he went through some trauma thing? womp womp don’t care he’s an annoying mf who keeps taking me back to that boring white room where i stab myself, he’s a party pooper and i want a tornado to blow his dumb little flower house down.

Baxter Stockman is one of my favs all-round maybe because he's abused a lot and he isn't really able to dig himself out of that... He gets really fucked up in 2003 but he kind of has a redemption in the future? Unfortunately 2003 didn't really explore that and I think it was more put in for laughs...

19.) my fav ally is probably Casey Jones or timothy (not including April because she's more like a main character, idk) or!! Carter, who appears in 1987 and then never again. I miss him 🥺

20.) theme song... I love them all... Rise's is objectionably the best but damn 2003 had some damn good bangers. I could listen to "back to the sewer" on repeat forever.

21.) favourite story arc? Like... Idk, one that appears a lot is the farmhouse arc (or country arc or rural arc whatever) that first appeared in the 90s movie (although it was probably in the comic first) and Leo or Raph is injured, and one sits by the other while they heal... It's a very soft moment for the brothers because they're usually fighting... If Rise gets renewed I'd love to see this arc again.

22.) I wasnt really a pizza eater before TMNT, it's not a big thing in Australia compared to NYC. I LOVE margherita!! Basil and tomato and boom, ya got yourself a pizza. I'll eat any pizza except any pizza with that horrid ham. Or anchovies. (Who does, wtf)

i haven't named my orchid, tomato, or basil yet BUT my cat grass is named Steven, my parsleys are named Jude and Oscar, and my torch flower is named Ambrose.

i also want to share the story of how i named Ophelia. basically, i got this zygocactus from my school's secret santa right. so she's been vibing. anyways i fucked up at one point and she became far too thirsty. so basically i had to drown her to make her survive. thus the name Ophelia was born.

i also want to share something about Vesper. i've had them for quite a bit over a year now and they've got 8 leaves (i adopted them at one leaf) and so i've gotten a watering schedule for them. it used to be every thursday and every sunday. since i named them after my D&D character who i play every other saturday, i decided to change their watering schedule to wednesdays and saturdays. side effect of this though, we now have waterboard Vesper wednesdays.

LORE DROP INCOMING!!!!!! ASKS ALWAYS OPEN FOR THIS SORTA STUFF BY THE WAY-

First of all HOLY HELL that's a lot of somethings. Everyone has 3 theoretically incase of a non-bad ending route. Aside from Basil. He gets four.

Sunny something is Sunny hanging. Mari something is Mari hanging. Noose something is Basil's memory of tying Maris noose, as it leads to Sunny tying his own. Mari stairs something is Mari at the bottom of the stairs, sorta hc for the canon game. Basil's attempt is... Basil's attempt! Aubrey found him and it gave her some. Well. Trauma. Kel bad ending is Kel's corpse (hit by a car in the bad ending!) which isn't relevant because everyone dies like hours later anyways. Merged something is the fault of Hero looking at the corpse duo a tad longer than others and being unable to separate them in a way.

The incident reactions.

Kel runs away and hides in faraway park and because his parents are kinda shitty in this au he actually stays out for the night because his parents don't look for him. Kel starts hallucinating Sunny and stays like that until a certain incident that I'll explain later.

Aubrey is angry like in canon, wondering why TWO of her friends left her. She starts bullying Basil at first but seeing that basil is well. Insane. She tries helping him. About a year after the incident she goes over to Basil's house since she forgot something there and finds him, bleeding out in his room. Basil. Oh boy where do i start. Basil promised that everything was going to be okay. Basil left the house thinking that everything will be fine. Mari is dead but Sunny's still alive. Once the group gathers to look for Mari and Sunny in their house, Basil goes to Sunny's room, thinking "he'll be here!" Unfortunately. Nope. Sunny is hanging right beside Mari. Basil gets guilt. So much guilt. His grandma dies early (about a year after the incident) in this au. Shortly after his grandma dies, Basil attempts but survives, since Aubrey appears. Basil spends a while at the hospital.

Hero is incredibly depressed. Thinking he couldn't save Mari, couldn't save Sunny. What kind of Hero is he? Hero stays the closest to canon out of everyone, I'd say. Hero does stay indoors and sad and stuff for a year longer than in canon. The Hero Kel argument still happens, but it goes a bit different, going something like: "Hero, Mari is really sad seeing you like this! Come outside and play with us." "Mari is DEAD!" "What do you mean? She's right here!" Hero realizes Kel isn't doing okay and tries his best to help out.

Oh and also.

Basil in what is the equivalent of 2(1) days left (4 years after the incident) hurls himself into the lake (despite being with everyone else) and having a plan, grabs Kel also. Kel is too busy hallucinating to swim back up. Basil does survive tho. And so does Kel! Kel stops hallucinating after that, for some time. That's why he's overjoyed to see Sunny by the road again!

It's a rare occasion in the Styles home that the house is not buzzing from kids' laughter and chatter, tiny arguments or screaming. With three little kids around, the meaning of peace and quiet is almost unknown. But today it seems like you can finally catch a little break.

Ellie is spending the night at a sleepover at one of her friends and the twins are spending the weekend with auntie Gemma, giving you and Harry an entire evening and morning just for yourself, something you haven't had probably since the twins were born.

Harry's duty was to drop Ellie off and you drove Maddie and Max over to Gemma's. Your route is a little longer than his so by the time you pull up to your home Harry's var is already there. Walking into the house you're immediately met with delicious smells, the air is thick with basil and garlic and you don't miss how the dining table is set, this time not for five, only two people. Candles are lit here and there and soft jazz music is playing in the background as you find your husband by the stove wearing your apron and it's upsetting how well he can pull it off, probably better than you can.

"Hello there," you walk closer, taking a look at everything on the counter, eyeing the food in the pan that he is currently stirring, a pot filled with boiling water and pasta in it.

"Hi, everything went well at Gem's?" he smiles at you, leaning down for a kiss as you stand next to him, one hand gently rubbing his back.

"Yeah, she said she'll drop them off Sunday morning."

"Great."

"So what is this all, Mr. Styles?" you ask, nuzzling your nose against his shoulder.

"Thought we could have a date night now that we have the house to ourselves," he smiles cheekily. "Go change, I'm actually almost done here, you hungry?"

"Is that even a question?" you scoff, sliding a hand over your growing stomach. You've been definitely eating more than during your previous pregnancies and you can already see the extra weight you put on so far. Harry doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all though, he always makes sure to have all your cravings at home and whenever you go for a second plate he just smiles at you warmly, even almost proudly. The man is obsessed with you in general, but the pregnancy multiplies that for sure.

"Good," he hums, kissing your forehead before you head upstairs.

When you return, the food is already on the table and Harry is filling two glasses with some lemon water. He hasn't drunk since you've gotten pregnant, something he did during all of your pregnancies. He never wanted you to feel like you're missing out on something so whatever you couldn't do, eat or drink, he said no to all of them as well.

"Italian again?" you smile at him as he meets you at the table, kissing you shortly before he places the drinks down and pulls your chair out like the gentleman that he is.

"Can't help it, it's what I know best," he chuckles.

"It feels weird, right? Being without the kids," you admit as you dig into the amazing pasta.

"I kinda miss them," Harry huffs and you know how he is feeling. You just dropped them off and you'll see them very soon, but you still got so used to having them around, it's unusual to be just the two of you.

"Can you believe there was a time it was just you and me? No kids?" you sigh, thinking back to the time you weren't married yet.

"God, it feels like a lifetime ago!" Harry chuckles and you grin at him nodding.

"Doesn't feel like we've been together for over a decade, but it also does? Does that make sense?" you giggle at your own words.

"No, I know what you mean. I still remember everything vividly, but also I know how long it's been," he nods, curling some pasta onto his fork, a boyish grin tugging on his lips. "Hey, do you remember our first kiss?"

"Of course I do, but do you remember it?" you challenge him.

“I do, because I was really fucking it up before I grew some balls and actually kissed you,” he chuckles, shaking his head as he thinks back at that weekend.

“I truly thought it’s just gonna be the two of us at the fair, but you brought along others and I took it as a hint that you didn’t want to date me,” you grin at him, still teasing him about it even after all this time.

“Because I was shitting myself, I didn’t know if you liked me or not and I didn’t want to make it awkward in case you thought it wasn’t a date.”

“But I wanted it to be a date.”

“Well I know that now!” he huffs, making you laugh. “But yeah. I thought I blew my chances but Niall actually talked me into asking you out for a real date and I’m glad I did.”

“We had our first official date the next day and you finally kissed me after you walked me home.”

“You were so pretty, looking at me with those doe-like eyes and I just knew I had to kiss you. I was already head over heels in love with you.”

"And look at us now, three and a half kids later," you add laughing.

"Still head over heels in love with you," he grins and leaning over he steals a quick kiss that tastes like tomato and garlic mixed with old feelings that never went away, only grew stronger.

"Oh, and do you remember when you first met my parents?"

"You mean the time when I made a complete fool out of myself in front of your dad, pretending I knew anything about American football?" He huffs at the memory of how he tried to impress your dad even though your dad is not quite the scary type, he was already fine with Harry after he saw how happy he makes you. Still, Harry really wanted to make himself liked, but his plan went a little south. Your dad still teases him with that even though Harry has definitely educated himself more about the sport.

"I think it was cute," you smile at him, pointing at him with your fork.

"And what about that time we pretended that we were married in that little restaurant somewhere in Italy?"

"That was on our second anniversary, right?"

"Yeah. I loved calling you Mrs. Styles, already knew I was gonna marry you." He sighs happily. Even though you've heard it before, it still warms your heart to know he was just as into you as you were into him. You often worried you fell for him harder and you'd end up with a broken heart, but instead, you ended up with a ring on your finger, three beautiful kids and the most amazing man by your side you get to call your husband.

"So you still haven't regretted tying yourself down so young?" you ask with a smile. You married at just twenty-four, the tabloids didn't hold back about how it might had been a mistake, many were convinced you wouldn't last long. You're glad you proved them wrong.

"Never. You're my best decision I've ever made." He leans closer and kisses you sweetly.

You keep up the nostalgic talk through dinner, your plates emptying slowly as you recall your favorite memories from your relationship. Though Harry tells you to leave the cleaning up to him, you insist on helping him load the dishwasher. When it's all done, you move over to the couch with a box of ice cream he picked up on his way home.

"Mm gelato, is this Italian too?" You smile at him, having the first taste of the chocolate ice cream, eyeing the packaging.

"Yeah, thought I would stick to the theme of the evening," he chuckles, shoving a spoonful of it into his mouth. "Actually, this was meant to be the warming up to something I wanted to talk about."

"Oh, okay, I'm all ears," you hum, busy with the dessert but still listening to him.

"I was thinking that… maybe we could go on a little vacation before the baby arrives. We could take the kids for a week, your parents could come too and they could take the kids home and we would stay for another week. Have a babymoon if that's what it's called," he chuckles softly, watching your face to see your reaction.

"A babymoon? Is that a thing?" you smirk at him and he shrugs.

"I don't know, read it on the internet," he admits with a half-smile. “But apparently, it’s like a honeymoon for soon-to-be parents before the baby arrives.”

“But we are parents already.”

“Is this your way of telling me you don’t want to go on a vacation with me to Italy?” he huffs, pretending to be hurt, but you just chuckle, shoving some ice cream into his mouth.

“Of course I want to. We can line it up with fall break, so the kids don’t have to miss school,” you offer and Harry’s eyes light up right away.

“Yeah, that could work,” he nods smiling, stealing some more ice cream. “Now this way, all of our children will have been to Italy before they were even born,” he smirks to himself and as you think about it, you realize that he is right.

Ellie was conceived in Italy, as you learned later when the doctor calculated the time when it happened. He gave two dates and you spent that entire month in Italy so there was no doubt it happened there. Two years later, you were two months pregnant when you went to the Venice Film Festival, even walked the red carpet with Harry as no one really knew that you had two babies hidden under your massive dress that hid your already growing bump. Now you’ll take baby number four to this so-called babymoon, keeping up the tradition of visiting Italy while pregnant with all of your kids.

“Passing on your obsession as early as possible, Styles?” you chuckle as you pull him in for a kiss that tastes like chocolate after all the ice cream you both have eaten.

“Gotta start early,” he grins.

You run out of dessert soon and decide to put on a movie that’s not Pixar or Disney, and cuddling on the couch you enjoy the alone time and when the movie is nearing its end, Harry shifts his attention from the TV to you, kissing up your neck, the corner of your mouth, his hands wandering over your body and soon you end up on top of him, stripped from your clothes as you make love without having to keep quiet and worry about the kids. It’s just the two of you, like in the beginning, getting lost in each other and the love you’ve been sharing for so long, the love that brought three amazing kids into your life, a fourth one on the way.

Harry doesn’t stop until you’re completely worn (fucked) out, cuddling on the couch naked, his hands gently rubbing your stomach, the baby slightly moving around under his touch.

“Do you think it’s going to be a boy or a girl?” you hum, eyes closed as you nuzzle against his chest.

“You’re way better at this guessing game,” he chuckles, making you laugh. It’s right, Harry said Ellie would be a boy, but you knew it was gonna be a girl from the beginning. The twins were believed to be two girls in the beginning and Harry believed it without a second thought while you kept telling him there’s no way they are both girls. Two weeks later the doctor told you that you in fact had a boy in there, he was just hiding his bits last time you checked in on him.

“But I want to know what you think,” you grin at him. He breathes out long, narrowing his eyes as he thinks about it, chewing on his bottom lip before he gives you his guess.

“I think that… we’re having another boy,” he slowly says, watching your reaction.

“Yeah? Is that your final answer?” you giggle.

“It is, now tell me if I’m right!” he demands laughing.

“We find out the gender next week! I don’t know it either, just like you!”

“Oh come on, you always know it! Just tell me what you think we are having,” he begs dramatically, giving your hip a gentle squeeze. Pushing yourself up you throw a leg over him as he sits up straight, helping you to settle in his lap comfortably.

“I think that it’s gonna be a boy too,” you tell him, biting your smile back and you see as his face lights up.

“Do you really or are you just pulling my leg?” he narrows his eyes at you.

“I do! I think it’s a boy. I have the same feeling when they were telling us the twins were both girls. I just know it’s a boy.”

“Another boy, that’s amazing! Maxie will be so happy to have a little brother!” he muses as you brush his unruly curls out of his face.

“Two girls and two boys, it would be perfect,” you hum in agreement. “God, we just do everything so good!” you say grinning, though it’s just a joke, of course, however he gladly joins in on it.

“Right?! We’re just the absolute best! No flaws at all!”

“None! No one does it better than us!”

“Fucking perfect!” he laughs, pulling you closer for another kiss, giggling against each other’s lips before it grows into something more heated and soon enough you take it up to the bedroom, making the best out of your time alone at home.

True, true, there is not much - and I am so sorry, I haven't worked on the AU at all in the last few weeks. Or months even 😱

Alright, let's take a dive into Mari's world of feelings and how everything changed:

"I didn't change much, but everyone around me did"

Her bond with Sunny is severely hurt, but she tries her best to mend this bond. It hurts her how he tries distance himself, but she ist stubborn enough to never give up, so sometimes, they actually do something together.

She loves both her parents but she can see that the relationship between father and Sunny has gotten really sour, due to the accident. She would still protect Sunny as best she could and defend him whenever she was in ear-shot of their 'conversations'. Both her parents want to help her, but her father is overprotective, making her feel sick and weak, while her mother actually listens to her and her actual needs, where she does need help and where she just needs time.

There is plenty of time where Sunny is tasked to do something for her (by their father) and is burdened to spent time by her side, in which he prefers not to talk. Tasks which Mari would like do on her own, as she doesn't want to be treated by anyone like an infant (she allows her mom to help with bathing tho).

"..." "Sunny doesn't need to do my breakfast, I can do that myself, DAD"

She tries her best to reconnect with Sunny, but figures, he needs space. Which she gives him. Though she always tries to convey how much she loves him whenever they see each other. Rarely, they get a special little moment, where everything feels like nothing ever happened.

"I love you. You're my baby brother. There is nothing that could make me stop loving you. But... Now you're taller than me. Could you get me the cookie jar that's on top of the fridge? For you and me?" "... Okay"

"I would do anything to make it better"

The time she spends with Aubrey is way more than before the accident. Aubrey is acting unofficially as Mari's spy, to figure out what Sunny is planning to do, since her little brother still has a noteable crush on the quirky happy girl, and tells her more than his sister. (Not much more, but still, they talk everyday)

But she and Hero want to make it work. And both of them start at working at themselves. They learn together for school and then they talk to find out how the relationships to one another has become so fragile and how to mend them.

She spends less time with Hero than, unfortunately. Since the one time where Hero screamed at Sunny, Hero was not welcome anymore in their home - by Mari's demand. Mari was so disappointed, she treated him with the cold shoulder for a week, which brittled him. Their relationship is not ruined, but it is at a straining point, for sure.

"I'm sorry Mari. I have acted like an idiot. Could you forgive me?"

Which is fine for Mari. As long as Sunny was over at Basil, he had light in his eyes. Not like at home, where his eyes are similar to a black, dull mirror.

Basil is a sweetheart. He witnessed the horrific incident and has stayed a gentle lil boy. She would never want to burden him with anything, so she just asks him if he could tell her if Sunny is over at his home and how he is doing. Basil agrees to tell when he is over, but would tell not much more, it could break Sunny's trust in him.

"We started a new flower bed and Sunny picked all the seeds himself. I hope he will show it to you!"

Playing the Piano is more of a chore on her daily plan. She still kind of enjoys it, but tries to practice only when Sunny is not home.

Kel and Mari are Sunny's protection duo. They don't have to talk much, they just... know each other really well. Still, Mari is impressed how quickly Kel became so mature in the time where she was out cold im the hospital.

And she is thankful for that. He was the glue that kept everyone together.

"Don't worry Mari! I gotcha back!"

Mari being bored out of her mind and too much free time started to knit. Soon she was knitting for everyone socks, gloves, beanies and scarves. Oh, so many long scarves. She even tries to knit a vest for Mewo!

Secretly, she and Aubrey go to the old hideout and try to train Mari's legs in the little lake. Mari is told that she will never walk again, but Mari is stubborn. So is Aubrey. They will not stop, and they will only stop, if Mari's father finally gets her the physiotherapy she asks for.

She wants to walk again. She has to be strong for herself and her brother, because he needs her. And she wants to be able to catch up to him and take him into a big hug.
